bulls-eyes
i have a new addiction or maybe just one that has resurfaced since visiting the local drug store here at the jersey shore...in this store i found a little candy that i used to only get at halloween when i was a kid.
i thought it only came in those cheap variety packs that your parents used to buy and i had never seen them packaged by themselves...but there they were...a caramel nugget that surrounded a center of what can best be described as chewy powdered sugar in the a cylophane wrapper with red and white stripes at the ends and the name goetze's stamped on the front and back.
never having known that these candies actually had a name, i was curious and did a little internet exploring. and there i found the entire history of this little candy, its makers and a not so great revelation that there are more varieties of this candy goodness....
never fear, i quickly jumped off the website before i was temped to look at the store locator. i have no need to stock up on these things and will be happy with the small bag from my local drug store....but if you are a fan of caramel or chewy candy or want to support a family grown candy baltimore, maryland company that started back in 1895 you should try this candy or check out the website.
