happy birthday to you was never sung so sweet as it was this past week!

for my big 30...yes i am 30 and damn proud of it...

birthday fun started with a day at work, but hey atleast at dinner i had 50 people sing happy birthday on the deck of the local yacht club and was delivered a delicious key lime pie as my birthday cake...thankfully not with the 30 candles.

then i arrived home to a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the art department and a handmade piece of birthday jewelry made out of salvage set pieces.....tie line, some wood blocks painted with set paint and etched with the most appropriate words

"dirty thirty" on one side and "buy me booze" on the other

with this, the evening began....
a trip to a local jersey shore bar that was having karaoke and the yankees game on at the same time...(made for interesting bar patrons)

a good number of crew came to the festivities, most of us sang and i made my first appearance on a karaoke stage with the rest of the art department...definitely better to sing with a group then on my own

my necklace worked wonders and about 2 1/2 hours and 5 free drinks later we all headed back to the ranch so we could report to work early the next morning.

all in all, i would say a great birthday and i hope my wish for the upcoming year comes true.....i didn't blow out all those candles for nothing.
