atlantic sunrise
after working a hard week and finishing our first day of filming on the soundstage at 3am we all had dinner at the crew hotel and sat poolside and drank for a few hours...until we decided it would be a great idea to go to the beach to see the sunrise...
we all trekked the one block to the beach and a perfect view of the sunrise on the atlantic ocean.
a total of about 14 or 15 of us invaded the quiet of the morning beach crowd...the fishermen in their hip wadder and chest high wadders were casting their lines into the surf as all of us crazy, slightly drunken loud people rolled up our jeans and got our feet wet on the outskirts of the crashing waves.
there were 3 brave (or stupid) boys that actually stripped to their boxers and jumped head first into the 65 degree waves......great idea until they realized they would have to get out of the water and walk that block back to the hotel in the cool morning breeze.
we all waited for the sun to make its morning appearance and the view was not disappointing..there was not a cloud in the sky. just a few little cloud streaks that were left from a passing plane. the light pink sky went to orange and the water turn an almost turquoise color as the white foam on top of the crashing waves had a slight lavendar hue. the colors were simply amazing.
the moment came and went fairly quickly but the memory will last....as i think to myself... i think that was the first time that i have ever seen the sunrise at the ocean......and it might be my last time to see the sunrise at the ocean for a long time...cause when i move to LA-i will only be able to see the sunset at the ocean.
