kentucky sunset

a land where women are named skeeter....

it is the end of my second day of driving from florida to minnesota....

i left florida and stopped in adel, ga for the evening and headed out early this morning to see how far i could get.

in my travels today- i stopped at a tennessee gas station that was stuck in the 80s, wood paneling and yellow orche floors combine with the "haul of fame" wall (obviously a truck stop)....one would think that this would be where i would find a woman attendant named skeeter-

but no, i met a woman named skeeter at one of my gas station stops in georgia, in an atlanta suburb-when i was least expecting to be reminded that i was driving through the south, there was the perfect endearing reminder.

for want of snow......

after spending almost a year on and off here in florida, and getting bored with the 75 degree average temp on a "winter" day....i have found a remedy for the monotenous weather.....i decided that it was time to take in a little of the great white north and took a job on a film shoot in Minneapolis that starts Jan 2nd.

i am excited about venturing through states that i have never seen, as i will be driving there. It will be great to explore one of the twin cities while i am in minnesota and hopefully instead of a white christmas, i will be having a white new year!

happy holidays to all where ever you maybe!
