double rainbows

on my way back from ithaca to new paltz- i turned the bend on the winding mountain road to find not one but two bright and shining rainbows on the horizon.

the perfect combination of the setting afternoon sun and the misting rain made the last few hours of sunset beautiful as i drove south on rt 17....i must have encountered 5 seperate rainbows on the way home.

a little reminder that there is beauty everywhere- one just needs to keep driving to find it!
